Welcome to our class!
I graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Literacy. This will be my 10th year of teaching and my first year teaching in Marlboro. I’m so excited to be back in Monmouth County, as I grew up here. Previously, I was teaching at an independent school in Park Slope, Brooklyn where I taught first grade, third grade and fourth grade in my time spent there. I’m excited to become a member of another wonderful community!
I strive to create a welcoming classroom environment where all students feel self-assured, supported and motivated to work hard. I believe in order to run a successful classroom I must establish a level of mutual respect between myself, my students and their families, communicate in a clear and honest way and recognize that each student is a unique individual who deserves a personalized approach to learning. I plan my lessons with your child’s needs in mind and strive to make every learning experience fun, engaging and memorable.
When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends. This summer, I got to go to the beach which is my happy place. “Aunt Diana” is my newest nickname. I absolutely adore my nephew and time spent playing together. I’ve always enjoyed singing and spent years doing Musical Theater, which I’m hoping to get back into in the future.
I can't wait to work with the third graders and to support them as they develop new friendships, become more confident in their academic abilities and tackle new content. Please feel free to be in touch via email at email@example.com should you have any questions. Check back here for classroom updates as we move through the year!
