Welcome to our class!

Hi

A little bit about me...

I graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Literacy. This will be my 12th year of teaching and my third year teaching in Marlboro. I’m excited to start another fantastic year in third grade! Before coming to Dugan, I was teaching at an independent school in Park Slope, Brooklyn where I taught first grade, third grade and fourth grade in my time spent there.

I strive to create a welcoming classroom environment where all students feel self-assured, supported and motivated to work hard. I believe in order to run a successful classroom I must establish a level of mutual respect between myself, my students and their families, communicate in a clear and honest way and recognize that each student is a unique individual who deserves a personalized approach to learning. I plan my lessons with your child’s needs in mind and strive to make every learning experience fun, engaging and memorable.

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends. Last year, I bought my first home and have thoroughly enjoyed living fifteen minutes from the beach this summer. “Aunt Nana” is my favorite nickname. I absolutely adore my nephews and time spent playing together. I’ve always enjoyed singing and spent years doing Musical Theater, which I’ve recently started getting back into!

I am looking forward to meeting the third graders so soon! I can’t wait to work together and to support them as they develop new friendships, become more confident in their academic abilities and tackle new content. Please feel free to be in touch with me via email should you have any questions at [email protected] and check back here for classroom updates as we move through the year!

*In the future all online classwork and assignments will be found on Google Classroom. Your child's Marlboro Google Log-in information will be taped to the inside cover of their homework agenda pad.

*Students may sign into Clever.com and using their Marlboro Google Credentials and will have access to programs used in the classroom.
