What is the CogAT?

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is used here in Marlboro as a screening measure to test students’ learned reasoning abilities in the areas of Verbal, Quantitative, and Nonverbal abilities. It is a norm-referenced, formal test administered in grades one, three, and five by the classroom teacher.

Parents will be notified of testing and of the results upon completion. Results can take several months to be tabulated and distributed.
