Hello,
My name is Mr. Stomiany. I am one of the health & physical education teachers here at Frank J. Dugan Elementary. I've been teaching here in the Marlboro K-8 School District since 2007. I started at Robertsville Elementary School and taught there for 17 years before joining Dugan.
I have a Health and Exercise Science degree from The College of New Jersey. During my years at TCNJ, I was a two-time NCAA division III national qualifier in track and field. I still continue to train, but my focus has switched from track to marathons, having run 9 marathons including Boston 4 times.
It is my belief that in health and physical education; students learn lifelong concepts. These concepts learned during childhood will enable students to remain active and make health wise decisions throughout their entire life.
My goal is to make all my health and physical education as fun & enjoyable as possible while still focusing on the lesson objective. It is my hope that these positive experiences will help to motivate all my students to take responsibility for their health and wellness.
