Weekly Words
In class, we work on word wall words, or sight words, (words that cannot be sounded out) in small group instruction. Every so often, the students will be tested on their sight word knowledge based on what was taught in small groups through sight word spelling quizzes. Below are the words that we have worked on. Feel free to practice these words at home with your child so that they can be more successful in reading and writing.
If you are unsure of your child's group, there will be an index card stapled into their assignment pad that says their group color. I will also be sending home a written notice with the words so that there is no confusion. If you are still unsure of your child's group, please reach out.
The quizzes will have all of the current words plus 2-4 review words as well!
