Welcome to Mrs. Palmer's webpage.

This is my twelfth year as a Media Specialist, and my twelfth in Marlboro.  I previously taught music and reading in East Brunswick, where I lived with my family for over twenty years. I now live in Manasquan, a little over two miles from the beach.  I hold degrees in elementary education and school library from Rutgers University as well as a degree in music from SUNY Potsdam. I have three children; Allie who is a graduate of NYU and was married last year, Michael who graduated from Syracuse University and is working as an architect, and James who graduated from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.

A Message From The Teacher:

My time at Dugan has been wonderful! I enjoy teaching the children some of the methods of information acquisition, a lifelong skill, and look forward to a wonderful year this year. If you have any questions about the operations of the library, please do not hesitate to ask. I feel we work best when we work as a team. Media Literacy is currently co-taught by Ms. Sofranko and I. Students meet in both the library and the STEAM Lab on occasion.

Our Library Volunteer Program, which is run by the PTA, has been a wonderful addition to our daily life here at the library. For the last several years,  a dedicated staff of volunteers have been assisting in checking in books, shelving them, and preparing overdue reports. Thanks to them we are able to  keep the library running smoothly. Please look for information about the Library Volunteer program in the PTA newsletter.
